God is building his church in some of the most closed nations in the world through daring conviction of his children who put their lives in danger to share the gospel. 

Abdul was unfamiliar with the good news of Jesus until a friend shared it with him. He recalled, “This message stuck to my heart, and I thought about it for weeks and continued to meet him.” Every time they met, Abdul had more questions for his friend, and his longing to know more grew.

Christ still heals those who come to him in childlike faith, in this case a suffering young teenager in Cambodia.

One World Challenge volunteer’s experience in Ukraine reads like a memoir from World War II, as if it should be a glimpse into the distant past rather than the very recent life of so many Ukrainians like her. 

I want to tell you about Tanya Biloshapka, our volunteer who lives in Borodyanka, 40 kilometers from Kyiv. For three and half years now, Tanya has been serving the elderly widows in need.

*Sita’s husband had to find work, so like many people in their region, he went to Dubai. With its booming tourist economy, this major Middle Eastern city almost always had companies looking to hire. He went with another purpose, though; Sita’s husband was going to help a church in Dubai.

God placed a compassionate heart and indomitable will in one Bangladeshi woman and then revealed himself to her as the maker and sustainer of this servant’s heart. 

Hasina was only 10 years old when her mother suddenly passed away. Caring for her younger sisters fell to her while their father was busy working and providing for the family. Hasina became her sisters’ mother, essentially, even helping with arranging their marriages before she finally married herself.
