Brian Keenan stood, looking out at the desert. An oppressive heat pulsed over him and the entire land, but then a cold blast of wind hit him. It chilled him to the bone as the wind tore over him, pieces of grit and sand stinging his skin.
In the book of Isaiah, God sent a messenger to an unhearing culture. Even in a world that won't listen, Christians need to speak out. God can do great things in difficult times.
Only one thing conquers and dispels darkness, and that is light. Isaiah declared, “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light” (Isaiah 9:2, NKJV). Likewise, John stated, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (John 1:5).
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
