Living With Strange Wisdom

Rachel Chimits

The ways that believers approach money should be one of the most striking things that people outside of the church notice about us.

In 1973, J. Paul Getty’s grandson was kidnapped and held for a $17 million ransom. The oil tycoon was, at that time, the richest man in the world. Despite this, he refused to pay anything to save his grandchild until another family member convinced him to at least contribute to the rescue.

Cornerstones for Success in Life and Finances

Money is sometimes seen as a taboo or touchy subject, but it affects nearly every aspect of our lives. It can open new opportunities or allow us to pass on blessings to our children and others. It can also bring out struggles faster than almost anything else. Investment Advisor and ministry worker Jim Palumbo joins us this week to discuss money and the spiritual impact it can have.

Don't Forget Your Thank You Note

Tim Dilena

There are two documents that reveal a lot about who we are, the calendar and the checkbook. These reveal two precious resources we have, time and money. The Church is turning more into becoming consumers than stewards. People are spending money on things they don’t need with money they don’t have to impress people they don’t even like. The checkbook tells us who we worship and what we worship. Tithes are your “thank you note” to God.
