    Rachel Chimits
    November 30, 2018

God is reaching the Roma community in the midst of poverty and prejudice

Recently, a member of the European Parliament pointed out, “There is not a single European country where Roma people have equal rights to non-Roma people. They are treated as a problem...”

Who falls through the cracks most? Would you believe it is widows? World Challenge finds that widows around the globe are incredibly vulnerable—and heartbreakingly neglected. But not by us. And not by your caring gifts of support.

    August 24, 2018

The recent Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has taken over 60 lives. One of those lives was a congregant of our local church partner. We plan to aid in stopping this crisis by extending much-needed training and preventative measures to 60 local churches at the epicenter of the crisis.

  • Tremendous Need After Catastrophic Flooding in Laos

    World Challenge Staff
    August 3, 2018

Last week, a catastrophe occurred in Southern Laos displacing more than 6000 people in hours. A newly constructed dam collapsed under immense pressure from heavy monsoon rains. Nearly 5 billion cubic meters of water were released. This torrent of water and mud has swallowed entire villages, demolished roads, and drenched food sources – devastating lives. Today, thousands are still stranded, hundreds are missing and more than 30 confirmed dead. Sadly, it seems this could have been averted.

How Pastors in Malawi are United in Overcoming Poverty and Disaster

I recently followed up on an invitation to visit Malawi in southern Africa. Francis, a local ministry leader and I had slowly been getting to know each other via text messages and emails. He’d told me about his work strengthening rural pastors, amidst the poverty, witchcraft, drought and countless other challenges faced by people in Chikwawa.
