David saw a progression of increase as he walked in faithfulness; starting with bare hands to ultimately receiving a crown of leadership. If you desire an increase in your own life, faithfulness with what God has given you now is required to receive the provision of what's next.
On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased.
After Jesus was crucified, Joseph, a rich man from Arimathea, took our Savior’s body and placed it in his own tomb. A massive stone was then rolled in place to seal the entrance to the tomb — causing all those around the Master to feel profoundly heartbroken and despondent. Scripture says a group of women, including Mary Magdalene, sat opposite the tomb, probably asking, “What will happen now that Jesus is gone? How do we go on?” (see Matthew 27: 57-61).

Many Christians are dealing with huge obstacles in their lives: job loss, a stressful marriage, sickness, children struggling with faith. They think, “I can’t see past this mountain in front of me. If I don’t have a breakthrough, it’s over!”
“My speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God” (1 Corinthians 2:4-5). Now Paul was anything but a weak man in the natural; in fact, he was a leader among leaders. He even once declared that concerning works of the law, he was blameless (see Philippians 3:6).
“Gideon came to the Jordan and crossed over, he and the 300 men who were with him, exhausted yet pursuing” (Judges 8:4).
When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.
