Truth and Grace

Live, Love and Lead in a Broken World

Listen to podcast audio:

We’re getting ready for the launch of World Challenge’s new podcast, “Truth and Grace with John and Mark.” This week, podcast hosts John Bailey and Mark Renfroe join the Gary Wilkerson Podcast to share a sneak peak of their upcoming episodes and to encourage you to join them as they explore what it means to live with equal measures of truth and grace.

Key Points from the Podcast

  • Mark Renfroe and John Bailey introduce themselves and their new podcast Truth and Grace with John and Mark: Living, Loving and Leading in a Broken World.

  • In a world that has thrown truth out the window, we must stand for the truth and walk daily by God’s grace.

  • As Christians we can grow in hope even in the most difficult seasons of life.

  • Sadly, many Christians put up a façade that everything is okay, but John and Mark encourage us to live authentically, sharing our struggles with trusted people.

  • We can learn to practice forgiveness when we realize it is a decision, not a feeling.

  • There is a danger for Christians of avoiding our pain by distracting ourselves with ministry; and unfortunately, this negative behavior is often applauded in the church.

  • Christian hope is full assurance, a sustaining knowledge, that God is in control even when things aren’t going the way we expected they would.

  • Surround yourself with spiritually healthy, hopeful people. You weren’t meant to be alone.
