And when your children ask you, ‘What does this ceremony mean to you?’ then tell them, ‘It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians.’” Then the people bowed down and worshiped.

“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”

Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.

Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.

All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirit.

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.

But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.”

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and he is to be feared above all gods.

“The wolf and the lamb shall graze together; the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,” says the Lord.

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stro

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind.  Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him."

For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it.

Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teach

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!
