A 2-minute Message You Need to Watch

Thank you for watching this short but important video from World Challenge president, Gary Wilkerson.

In it, he shares what God is doing right now and why we’re praying for 800 new partners to step forward to care for orphans and widows.

As Gary shares above, there are 158 million orphans in the world. That number can feel overwhelming, but don’t let it scare you.

God is using friends like you every day to bring abandoned children into safe homes, giving widows new hope, and making the love of Jesus visible in some of the hardest places on earth.

That’s why we’re asking God to raise up 800 new partners who will help live out James 1:27 where it says to “to look after orphans and widows in their distress.”

Even $30, $50, or $100 can provide food, safety, and the love of Christ to someone who feels completely forgotten.

Someone like Michael.

Michael

Abandoned by his father and mourning the death of his mother to AIDS, 5-year-old Michael lived on the hard streets of Uganda, begging and stealing to survive. Brokenhearted and alone, he only knew whispers of Jesus and that he could call on his name.

When World Challenge partners found him, they gave Michael his first healthy meal in months, told him more about the Jesus he had heard of, and for the first time since before his mother died, Michael was able to sleep in a warm, comfortable bed.

Michael doesn’t have to be the exception. Your gift today can open the door for another child to know they are seen, loved, and never forgotten by God.

So please give generously below to look after orphans and widows in their distress.

Your gift today will open the door for another child like Michael to know they are seen, loved, and never forgotten by God.

Thank you.
