Your Testimony of the Lord

Listen to podcast audio:

When the apostle Paul wrote to a young leader named Timothy, he gave some timeless advice on the difference between walking in faith and living in fear. This week, Keith Holloway looks at how Christians can deepen their faith and operate in their God-given gifts.

Key Points from the Podcast

  • Most of us would probably confess that at times our circumstances have been so overwhelming that our feelings almost seem to overcome our faith.

  • If you have given your life to Christ then his Spirit dwells in you with power, love, and discipline.

  • Faith is a gift from God that, much like a muscle, must be exercised and stretched.

  • Fear and faith both ask you to believe in what you cannot see.

  • Each of us have been given spiritual gifts and it is vital for us to grow and operate in them for the building up of the body of Christ.

  • We are not saved by our works, but our faith should produce good works.

  • When you are wholeheartedly following God, you are sure to face trials, suffering, and persecution.

  • Every Christian has a testimony of being saved through Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a righteous and overcoming life, walking in the gifts of the Spirit, glorifying God, and edifying others.
