Know therefore today, and lay it to your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.

In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. |
But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. |

Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me. |
If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. |
Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. |
This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. |
Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. |
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” |
For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” |

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. |
For nothing will be impossible with God. |
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. |
Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God. |
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. |
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throu |
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” |

For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. |
We exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory. |
For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish. |
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. |
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” |
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. |
But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. |

Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. |
The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. |
For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. |
And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure. |
Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. |
Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. |
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. |
