Poland - Pastors' Conference 2005

Poland - Pastors' Conference 2005

Imagine living in a nation of almost 39 million people with less than 100,000 evangelical believers. Yet, imagine these believers yearning to see their country, Poland, coming to the light of Christ and to be freed from the deadness of religion.

In June 2005, nearly 2,500 pastors and leaders from the evangelical churches gathered for three days at a heart-touching and life-imparting conference. They were encouraged, refreshed and challenged. Many spoke of how critical the timing of this the event was for their nation. The conference ended on a high note with a prophetic message. The church was called to pray and believe God for a massive influx of hungry people who will flood the churches in Poland at a soon coming time.

Imagine these pastors returning home with raw zeal to see God move in power and in might!

Letter from Bishop in Poland

I am writing this report just a few days after the conference with several thousands in attendance, with pastor David Wilkerson and his son Gary.

It is not possible to even mention all the spiritual blessings which have been bestowed upon all the evangelical Churches—and not only them. Therefore I want to mention just three realms.

It was the third visit of David Wilkerson, who was known in our country even before his first visit in 1986. His book "The Cross and the Switchblade" was published in Polish out of Poland and with great sacrifice was smuggled because in those days was executed very strict censorship. Again this time—as always before—we were all fascinated with the authority of the Word of God, and still growing authority of pastor David, very faithful servant of God for many years. It was our joy to see how younger generations have joined the previous ones and saw a father in him. A father which loves and in love demands. And all generations, especially the younger are ready to take such challenge seriously. We thank God for the authority of His Word and His servants, because pastor Gary is faithfully following his father's footsteps and his ministry has been very well received by both the younger and older generations!

The Word of God was proclaimed in great and inspiring simplicity. We all had the feeling that both pastor David and Gary are giving us their hearts and from the depths of their hearts share the message from Heaven. We had the grace to hide ourselves in the shadow of the loving heart of Christ the Lord. We can honestly confirm that the proclaimed word was meeting the spiritual needs of all the people gathered there, which means His Church. When the call was given to forgiveness, we could literally see how the Holy Spirit was doing a deep work in the hearts of everybody. And when the altar call was given in the open meetings for people who want to follow Jesus, it was our greatest joy to see multitudes of people making such decision.

Pastor David many times emphasized that he is not a prophet. We have observed with joy many prophetic elements in his ministry also in the past. It was evident during his earlier visits as well as this time. We thank God for the prophetic proclamation of the reality which lays ahead of us. There was a great encouragement in the message preached by pastor David and Gary to the believers and we can look into the future without fear, because Jesus has the key, and "when He opens, no man can shut". We have been encouraged in a powerful way to be faithful to the end.

Pastor David Wilkerson called himself "God's watchman." In the closing word, thanking from the depth of my heart with joy I could say publicly: "Keep the watch, you watchman of God!"

Testimonies

Dear brother David,

We are so grateful for the special words God has placed on your lips to preach the Gospel. Your preaching has always been a tremendous blessing from the Lord for our pastoral ministry. This year was no different.

Last time you had visited our country, we were in the midst of a terrible crisis (our son's illness). When we heard your message and read your wife's testimony, we begun seeking God's face more diligently, and a miracle took place. God healed our Jakub! What was impossible with doctors, was possible for God.

May God keep you safe and sound; may your ministry among us last for many years to come.

Pastor Zbigniew and Maria Zralinscy, Krosno

Dear brother David!

We thank you for your obedience to God, by which we were able to hear His voice.
During the conference we heard God's answer for our lives and ministry.
We bless you in the name of Jesus.

We thank God for you, dear brothers!

It was God's special blessing, and a Holy Ghost time for us.We long for the fulfillment of God's promises concerning our nation, and the Church of Jesus Christ.
You did confirm our hope by the prophetic words.

May God bless you in your work in God's Kingdom.
