Download and install podcast software

You need to download and install software that will search the Web to find the latest sermon and automatically download it to your computer. This software is typically free. We've listed three of the more popular pieces of software, but Podcasting News has a list of additional programs available for both Macintosh and Windows.

Subscribe to podcasts

Once you have the software installed you need to subscribe to the podcasts. How you do this will vary depending on which software you have chosen. Here is a rough guide to how this might work:

Subscribing using iTunes

We are not listed in the iTunes podcast directory so you will not be able to locate our podcast by searching their directory. You will need to subscribe manually. Instructions for doing so are provided below.

1. In iTunes select Advanced from the menu at the top of the screen.
2. A submenu will drop down. Select the option Subscribe to podcast…
3. A small window, or dialog box, will open asking for a URL.
4. Use one of the addresses listed on the right side of this page.
5. Click OK.

If you wish to subscribe to both our video and audio podcasts, you will need to repeat the same process but enter the appropriate URL.

Subscribing using other programs

You need to add the “feed” of the podcast to your software. The feed is really just the address of the podcast. , which the software will go to each time it wants to check for a new sermon.

You will need to copy this feed address and paste it into your podcast software. How you do this will depend on your software, but you should look out for buttons, links, or menu items that say "Add" or "Subscribe".

Listen to the audio or watch the video

When a new sermon becomes available for the podcast you have subscribed to, your software will automatically download it. For audio, you can then listen to this episode on your computer or transfer it to your portable player to listen to later. Note that for video, the sermon should play on your computer but will only play on certain portable players and mobile phones (the video is in mp4 format). Please check with the manufacturer of your device.

You may want to check the settings of your podcast software for details including how often it will check for new episodes, whether it will keep old episodes for you etc. This will vary depending on the software you have chosen, and your personal preferences.

If you decide that you no longer want to receive podcast sermons then it should be very easy to unsubscribe. Again, how you do this will depend on your software, but you should look for "Clear" or "Unsubscribe" options.
