Jeevan Jyoti Clinic and Community Centre: India

Jeevan Jyoti Clinic & Community Centre is located in Dum Dere Bol, an infamously dangerous and violent area in the Budhwar Peth red-light district in Pune, India. The clinic, owned and operated by Dr. Robina “Ruby” Fredericks, opened on March 17th, 2005. The clinic provides free medical care, counseling, and prayer for women, eunuchs, and children living in the area. The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 2:00 to 4:00PM.

In October 2005, the Brighton, UK-based church, struggling to support its own growth, told Dr. Ruby they could no longer support the clinic. In February 2006, she prayerfully assumed full control of the clinic.
