COVER LETTER

January 7, 2008

Dearly Beloved:

GOD GIVES STRENGTH TO THE WEAK.

The Holy Spirit has prompted me to speak to you about thanksgiving. The Hebrew root word for thanksgiving is “adoration.” The apostle Paul wrote, “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 5:20).

The longer I live and the closer I get to the end of my race here on earth, the more I feel the need to adore him through thanking him, in all things. “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Giving thanks “in all things — in everything”? Yes, in sickness and in health. In good times and in bad. In storms and in sunshine. David said, “Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving” (Psalm 95:2). All too often we do not come into the Lord’s presence with thanksgiving. Instead, we come to him burdened down with our problems, and fail to give him thanks for reaching us and keeping us in so many ways. Not one true lover of the Lord can say that he has ever failed.

I ask you, when was the last time you stopped everything to offer thanks to the Lord for what he has done for you? “O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works” (Psalm 105:1–2).

I give thanks to the Lord for all his wondrous works that we have witnessed throughout 2007. And now we give thanks for what he is going to do through this new year. We give God all glory for enabling us to build churches, houses and schools in some of the poorest nations on earth. We marvel to see how he meets the needs of so many fatherless children and widows. Our fund for widows and orphans never goes dry. We give it out abundantly, and without asking or begging we see funds come in to meet every need. We have been allowed by God to feed thousands of children and to fund the needs of suffering people worldwide. The Lord has supplied every need — God be praised!

In closing, I have enclosed information about our Bible school, Mount Zion School of Ministry. This is truly a Holy Spirit-anointed school. You can literally feel God’s presence when you step on campus. Students who enroll here want to know God's voice and intimacy with Jesus.

We would appreciate it if you would pass the information on to a young seeker of God who may be looking for such a school, where they can grow in Christ and give themselves wholly to God’s purpose for their life. Now is the time graduates are considering where to go next. The Lord may use you to raise up a useful servant of God.

Thanks to all who pray for us, and for all who support us faithfully.

In Christ,
DAVID WILKERSON
