COVER LETTER
Dearly Beloved:
THE LORD BE PRAISED!
I believe in walking in the Spirit. Please take time to read the enclosed message on this subject. This truth can open up to you a way of rest and peace beyond anything you have ever experienced.
While in prayer today, the Holy Spirit led me to Psalm 56 and directed me to share it with you. This word is meant for those who have been wounded by others — some hurt by family, some by friends, others by the words and actions of the ungodly.
This word is also for those who love the Lord yet who shed tears and carry burdens that seem to grow heavier by the day. Financial problems can crush and terrorize. Some believers wake up everyday under a cloud of fear and despair. Others face serious health battles and insufferable pain. Some grieve over family members in deep trouble, perhaps in rebellion against the Lord.
Hear the blessed Word of God directly to you in your hour of need:
- Psalm 56:3, “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in Thee. [I shall not be afraid.]”
- Psalm 56:4, “In God I will praise his Word [promises]. In God I have put my trust; I will not fear what man can do to me.”
- Psalm 56:8, “Thou tellest [take notice of] my wanderings [sorrow, feelings of loss]: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?”
- Psalm 56:9, “When I cry unto thee, then shall my enemies turn back: this I know; for God is with me.”
- Psalm 56:13, “For thou hast delivered my soul from death: will you not deliver my feet from falling, that I might walk before God in the light of the living?”
These are anointed words from the Spirit of God. I encourage you to pray over each verse listed and lay claim to it by faith. I tell you, God knows all about your struggles and pain. He knows where you live — he knows every detail of your situation — and he hears even the unspoken cries that pour out of your broken heart.
All the Lord asks of us is unwavering faith. And according to James 1:3, God does test our faith: “The trying of your faith worketh patience.” If we need wisdom, we are instructed to ask in faith: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord” (James 1:5–7).
I have always preached, “The hardest part of faith is the last half hour” — just before the answer comes.
Beloved, heed the words given to us: “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.” Your cries and prayers have been heard by the Lord. Even now he is doing his secret, behind-the-scenes work of deliverance. Until then, he will give you mercy and strength to bear it.
God bless you.
His bondservant,
DAVID WILKERSON
