COVER LETTER

October 17, 2005

Dearly Beloved:

THE LORD STRENGTHEN AND KEEP YOU.

Fear and anxiety abound across the nation. This morning's newspaper headlines read, “Back to Back Storms Darken the Gloom.” News reports speak of deepening uncertainty, devastating hurricanes, 200-mile-long traffic jams of fleeing residents, levees breached, tens of thousands of people displaced, mold everywhere, elderly patients drowning in nursing homes, rising interest rates, mounting fuel costs, consumer confidence down. Americans in general are feeling overwrought and depressed.

In these times, God's people must trust him for rest of body and soul. It is written, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? … For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion; in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock” (Psalm 27:1,5). “Fear was on all sides … but I trusted in thee, O Lord” (Psalm 31:13–14).

We have just published a book that is so timely. It was written over 100 years ago, and the Holy Spirit urged me to reprint it. It is incredibly edifying and encouraging. Entitled God's Cure for Worry, this book will bring fresh hope, joy and peace to every reader. Other than the Bible, no other book has so blessed me and lifted my spirit.

We have published it for no other reason than to bless the body of Christ. We offer it free to widows age 70 and over who cannot afford the price. Simply write us a note requesting a copy and we will gladly send it to you. If you can pay a few dollars for postage, we would appreciate it. The print is large enough for those with poor eyesight. God bless you with his peace as you read this book.

Times Square Church, along with students from our Bible school, were among the first to answer the call for help in the Katrina disaster. They joined other teams who were already on the scene, and many distraught evacuees were given help and comfort. Times Square Church is now establishing a full-time house of rescue for homeless mothers and their children.

We thank God for meeting our needs in this crisis hour. In recent mailings, we have focused on missions and missionaries we support around the world. In the apostle Paul's writings, there is an emphasis on world missions, and he did so to enlist the prayers of the saints for all the missions outreaches.

We have seen God move mightily in our overseas ministers' conferences, as a direct result of much prayer sent up on our behalf. We have witnessed the glory of God fall upon entire gatherings, and a shout of praise such as I have never before heard. It is all because so many of God's people have prayed for us. We bring these missions projects to your attention so that multitudes will lift their voices in prayer support, to break down satanic strongholds everywhere.

Many thanks to all who help us fund these outreaches. We also have intercessors who pray daily for adequate supplies to carry on the work. God be praised that our needs are being met in answer to prayer and intercession. He has been faithful.

God be with you always.

In Christ,
DAVID WILKERSON
