COVER LETTER
Dearly Beloved:
THE LORD STILL REIGNS OVER THE NATIONS!
Our recent conference in Jerusalem was most timely. The crisis in Israel broke out days after we left. At the close of our first meeting, we asked the conferees to join us in intercessory prayer for all believers in Israel and in surrounding Arab nations. The Holy Spirit brought forth a resounding, powerful time of prayer and weeping. We prayed for the safety of all Christian pastors, evangelists and co-laborers who are preaching Christ.
Those attending came from various countries, including some Islamic nations. God is at work in Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and other Muslim nations, in spite of all the unrest, war and turmoil. Nothing can hinder the going forth of the true gospel of Christ.
Soon after the conference, those who had joined us from Israel were overtaken by rockets from Lebanon and Gaza. Some were forced to sleep in bomb shelters. Meanwhile, the Arab pastors went home to increased persecution and threats. But at the conference, it was incredible to see the Israeli pastors and believers hugging and weeping together with Arab Christians, all in the glorious bond of Christ.
As a result of our gathering, many are now praying for the peace of Jerusalem, as commanded in Scripture. We pray for peace throughout the Middle East, but with the knowledge that peace can be had only through the world’s sole hope: Christ, the Peacemaker.
Here in the United States, we continue with our ministries to a multitude of needy souls around the world. No matter how scary world conditions become, no matter how heavy the barrage of frightening news, the needs of widows and orphans go on. And we must keep on funding all of the orphanages we support. World Challenge is a missions ministry, involved worldwide in ongoing outreaches to the poor in city slums in impoverished countries — feeding the hungry, establishing schools, and supporting well-run orphanages.
We have been doing this kind of work for more than forty years, supporting numbers of missionaries around the world for these decades. When we started, God made a promise to me that if I would simply seek him, care for the poor and nourish our supporters with gospel writings and messages, I would never have to beg or plead for funds to support the ministries he entrusted to us. And, after all these years, I can testify: God has kept his word. He has been faithful, he has met every need, and he is still meeting our needs. He will continue to do so; our God answers prayer.
All of this is accomplished by the Holy Spirit through caring people. We read our mail faithfully, and we faithfully pray over every need and request sent to us. Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated. May the Lord hear your cry and answer your sincere prayers!
Love in Christ,
DAVID WILKERSON

Our policy is that all gifts designated for a specific project be applied to that project. Occasionally we receive more funds than can be wisely used for the designated project. When that happens, we use those funds to meet other similar pressing needs in the same country to advance the gospel.
