COVER LETTER
Dearly Beloved:
GOD HAS EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL.
Our conference in Jerusalem was very timely. Shortly after we left, the war broke out. Evangelical bishops, pastors, leaders and lay people came from many nations to pray and intercede for all pastors, ministry leaders and believers in Israel and Arab nations.
At the conference both Arab and Jewish believers embraced and wept, praying for one another. Two thousand voices were lifted in intercession and in heart-rending cries for peace and a visitation of the Holy Spirit upon the Middle East.
We were shocked that so soon after we came home, Hezbollah rockets were raining down on Israel in the very places we had stood shortly before. Recent reports from Haifa inform us that believers there have only one or two minutes to get to shelters before the rockets strike. David Davis, pastor on Mount Carmel, told us a rocket hit the very spot where he usually prays.
I trust the enclosed message will lift and edify your spirit as you witness the terrifying events falling on the earth. It is comforting to rest in the truth that our God certainly has all things under control — nothing is spinning out of his control. He is still “governor of all nations.”
Please take time to read my message, because our precious Lord does not want his children to live with fear or trembling. God's eye is not focused on the Middle East — his greatest concern is not the war or the drastic weather changes. All these issues are monitored by him and proceed by his laws and decrees.
Jesus told us his Father's eye is on the little sparrow, and that he counts every hair on our head. That is how valuable we are to him as his children. Eleanor Roosevelt said, “God is too busy with world affairs to care about the details of life.” Not so! His eye is focused on your needs, your hurts and your struggles.
I honestly believe that Satan is behind the incredible attacks against so many of God's people. Never have I seen or heard of so many families enduring such sorrow and suffering. It is a worldwide attack from hell, a war against faith. Yet what is happening is not some strange thing, according to God's Word. It is a shared suffering by God's holy people everywhere.
Stand strong! God is focused on your present struggles, and he has promised to give you the strength to bear up under any and all trials.
I want to thank those readers of my messages who continue to support our many ministries — from drug addict rehab centers, to orphanages around the world, to feeding programs for children, to ministries to widows and fatherless children here in the U.S.
God is meeting all our needs as we do his work. Thank you.
His bondservant,
DAVID WILKERSON
