COVER LETTER
Dearly Beloved:
THE LORD IS MERCIFUL, LOVING AND KIND.
Most of our readers know that this ministry gives generously to the support of fatherless children, orphanages, child-feeding programs and drug and alcohol rehab ministries in many countries. We also support missionaries in some of the neediest, poorest nations on earth.
The support we supply is not a one-time gift. It is regular, monthly support — often the very lifeline of those ministries, without which they could not go on. We support orphanages in India, two in Romania, two in Ukraine and others in a few Islamic countries which we cannot talk about. Here in the U.S. we have supported an orphanage in Texas for over thirty years.
In New York City we have been enabled to help over 100 mothers and many fatherless children. Every case is a miracle story. An exciting book could be written about once-bitter, hopeless children who have found hope, a safe place to live, decent clothing and new hearts in Christ’s love.
We are excited about what God is doing at our Mt. Hope home for women with life-controlling habits. At Mt. Hope, we take in both mothers and their children. These hurting women were without Christ, habituated and in great need. Here they are able to have their children with them as they go through the whole program. This is truly a place of incredible miracles. The women graduate to new jobs, careers, new starts — new lives by the power of the Gospel.
In India, Latin America and Mexico, we help feed 42,000 hungry children through child-care ministries. We faithfully give thousands of dollars every month to support these programs.
Some of the other ministries we support are: Nairobi Street Children Center in Kenya; Child Rescue Center, Masai, Kenya; Children’s Hospice, Uganda; Emma’s Kids Orphanage, Zambia; City of Refuge, Colombia; drug and alcohol rehab centers, Israel; rehab center for prostitutes and drug addicts, South Africa; drug and alcohol rehab Christian center, Siberia.
These represent some of the many charitable programs and ministries we regularly support around the world. We are not boasting or asking for pledges; this is all done on a faith basis. Over the past 40 years we have not had to plead for finances. God spoke to me years ago that if I would feed people with messages of truth, he would move on the hearts of those being ministered to, and they would give as the Holy Spirit led them.
So it has been all these years. God has been and is supplying every need to keep giving to all these fruitful ministries around the world.
His bondservant,
DAVID WILKERSON
