COVER LETTER
Dearly Beloved:
GOD IS WORTHY OF OUR THANKS — SO LET US GIVE HIM THANKS.
I want to give God thanks for the wonderful things he has done — things I have seen him do and things I have experienced. God's Word instructs us to give him thanks in all things.
First of all, I thank him for his great love, mercy and tender kindness. None of us deserves such unmerited love and pardon of all sins. Can you look back and wonder that God has kept you? He has loved you and brought you through so many hard times. Even now, at this present time, God is holding you up one day at a time. You made it this far, and by faith you will make it to the end. Thank God for all he has done and all that he has forgiven and covered of the past.
I want to thank the Lord for his tender, loving care for widows and for single, abandoned mothers and their fatherless children. Last week my wife, Gwen, and I had the privilege of hosting a time of fellowship with the mothers and their children who are supported by our widows' and fatherless children's fund. What an incredible joy to hear the testimonies of the mothers who once felt so abandoned and forsaken, but who now can laugh, smile and know the great love of our heavenly Father. The children hugged us so tightly, and the teenagers flooded our hearts with joy as we witnessed their love for Jesus and their calm and confident hope for the future. Many of these children once lived in fear and disappointment with little hope. They now are growing in love for Christ and for others.
We give God thanks! And we thank everyone who has given to this fund and who continue helping.
I thank God for all those writing to tell us of answered prayers. We receive many prayer requests from all across the country, and we are diligent to pray over every request. Our office staff prays over the requests first. Then Gwen and I pray in our morning devotions for every written request. We pray with faith, and we rejoice at the reports of wonderful answers. We still firmly believe God hears and answers the prayer of faith.
Finally, I thank God for his faithfulness in meeting our financial needs, as we continue to fund so many charitable outreaches and ministries to orphanages, feeding and caring for many thousands worldwide. I thank God for the funds to support fatherless children and other ministries to the needy here in America. God has been so faithful. Many thanks to all who help as the Holy Spirit leads them.
Love in Christ,
