Expect 2010 Conference Report

Session 1: Gary Wilkerson
In the opening session of our EXPECT 2010 Church Leadership Conference, Pastor Gary Wilkerson of The Springs Church talks about "Eager Expectations." It should be our eager expectation that we will not be ashamed; that we will live and die with full courage; and that we will rightly expect and fully experience fruitful labor.

Session 2: Nicky Cruz
In the second session of our EXPECT 2010 Church Leadership Conference, Nicky Cruz of Nicky Cruz Outreach speaks about overcoming spiritual depression. Our spiritual highs are often followed by spiritual lows. Elijah and Moses were both so depressed they asked God to take their life. Depression and burnout are an epidemic in the ministry. Many ministers are quitting because of moral failure, spiritual burnout, and contention in the church. Both Paul and David confessed their pain, trouble, and distress to God. Follow Jesus' example — draw away from the crowds and spend time with your Heavenly Father. He is listening and He cares!

Session 3: Carter Conlon
In the third session of our EXPECT 2010 Church Leadership Conference, Pastor Carter Conlon of Times Square Church answers the question, "What makes a great church?" It isn't the number of people that attend, having the gifts of the Holy Spirit, having knowledge and prophecy, having great faith, or caring for the poor. A great church is motivated by a love for God and a love for people.

Session 4: Claude Houde
In the fourth session of our EXPECT 2010 Church Leadership Conference, Pastor Claude Houde of Église Nouvelle Vie speaks about what it means to "expect," using Abraham as our example.

Session 5: Carter Conlon
In the third session of our EXPECT 2010 Church Leadership Conference, Pastor Carter Conlon of Times Square Church speaks about "Crisis Leadership."

Session 6: Jim Cymbala
In the sixth session of our EXPECT 2010 Church Leadership Conference, Pastor Jim Cymbala of Brooklyn Tabernacle speaks about "Preaching a Word of Fire."

Session 7: Jim Cymbala
In the seventh session of our EXPECT 2010 Church Leadership Conference, Pastor Jim Cymbala of Brooklyn Tabernacle speaks about "A House Divided."

Session 8: David Wilkerson
In the eighth and final session of our EXPECT 2010 Church Leadership Conference, Pastor David Wilkerson shares his heart about the importance of minimizing our distractions and busyness, setting aside time each day to be alone with the Lord and seek His face. He encourages this generation to overcome their technology addiction — put down your gadgets, log off Facebook, and take a break from tweeting on Twitter to spend serious time every day in prayer.
