Pulpit Series Newsletter

Reverend Wilkerson's monthly printed messages, the World Challenge Pulpit Series, were sent out by World Challenge, Inc. to a growing number of believers who want to grow spiritually and are hungry to hear the Word of the Lord. His desire was to provoke people to pray more and seek the Lord in a greater way, and to see God's people return to righteousness. Today, his son, Gary continues to encourage through these newsletters.

World Challenge Missions

World Challenge, Inc. supports a myriad of missionaries and outreaches throughout the world. Thousands upon thousands of children are being fed every day and given Christian education. Orphanages, schools and clinics have been opened, drug rehab centers established, churches built and missionaries supported. Teams have been sent worldwide to provide humanitarian aid, medical and dental care and assistance to national ministries.

Visit our World Challenge Missions page for reports, photos, testimonies, and stories about World Challenge's missions, outreach ministries, and charitable works.

  • Please Pass the Bread
Please Pass the Bread is a ministry that reaches into the darkest slums around the world to develop sustainable feeding programs and bring the Gospel to those in most desperate need.

  • Aid to Haiti Today
Aid to Haiti Today is a cooperative effort among churches willing to send teams to help victims in Haiti. The ministry is looking for teams of doctors, nurses, dentists, construction workers, counselors and children’s ministry workers for one week mission excursions to Haiti.

  • Mount Hope
A World Challenge ministry located in northern New Jersey, Camp Hope is our residential home for homeless or destitute women and their children. It provides a safe haven where residents can live for 18 months, receiving counsel and training in a Christ-centered environment. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the women are brought into a relationship with Jesus Christ and taught the biblical foundation for Christian living. As a result of their relationship with God, daughters are restored to their families, wives to their husbands, and mothers to their children.

  • Pastors' Conferences
After many years of pastoring, God placed a burden in Reverend Wilkerson's heart for pastors and their spouses. Reverend Wilkerson and his son, Gary, have ministered in over 50 countries. Their messages have stirred, encouraged, and edified those who have attended. To find out more about these conferences, please visit the conferences section of our Web site.

Literature

World Challenge publishes and distributes literature and tapes around the world. Our desire is to see hungry souls stirred and awakened through our Christ-centered literature. Among the nearly forty books Reverend Wilkerson wrote, several of the recent titles have had a prophetic message. These books of warning all center around a strong, biblically based message of hope. Upon your request, we would be delighted to mail you a list of our available materials. You can contact us using our store contact form or browse through our online store.

Times Square Church

In 1986, after walking down 42nd street in Manhattan at midnight, crying out for God to raise up a ministry in Times Square, Reverend Wilkerson sensed the Lord speaking to his heart: "You start a church. You know the city and you love it." At that moment Times Square Church was birthed in his heart, and the church opened its doors in October 1987. Established by World Challenge, Times Square Church is now a separate 501(c)(3) organization. The church has a congregation of nearly 8,000 and is a virtual microcosm of New York City's inhabitants: doctors, entertainers, the homeless, teachers, the poor, attorneys, ex-convicts, Wall-Street brokers, former drug pushers and addicts, CEO's, the middle class and students.

Mount Zion International School of Ministry

Mount Zion School of Ministry was founded in 1994 by the Holy Spirit, who birthed the vision in the heart of its president, Catherine Logan. The school was established through the ministry of David Wilkerson under the umbrella of World Challenge, Inc. In 2008, the name was updated to Mount Zion International School of Ministry.

The academic program is an intensive three-year curriculum of high standards that plays a vital part in the spiritual growth of the student. This program mandates two and a half years of classroom learning and a six-month internship. Upon completion, students graduate and receive a diploma of completed ministerial study and vocational training in biblical, doctrinal, missionary, and associated subjects.

The school’s beautiful 100-acre campus is located near the Blue Mountain range in central Pennsylvania, just 16 miles east of Harrisburg.

The Springs Church

In 2008, soon after Pastor Gary Wilkerson and his family moved to Colorado, God birthed the desire in Pastor Gary’s heart to start a church in Colorado Springs through the urging of close friends. In a city and community of many churches and Christian organizations, another church seemed like the last thing this area needed. Pastor Gary felt from the Lord though that this church was to have a special purpose like no other in this city. With this confidence and word from God, The Springs Church was launched in early 2009 and has since grown to a congregation of 1,500 people. God has placed the heart of outreach at the very core of The Springs Church and this body has already made an impact on the lives of the needy in Colorado Springs.
