New York City - 2002 Pastors Conference - A Time For Renewal

New York City - 2002 Pastors Conference - A Time For Renewal

Doctrines and denominations were tossed aside. Personal agendas were left at the door. The only thing on the hearts and minds of the men and women inside Radio City Music Hall was God.

Hundreds of pastors, their wives and other church leaders gathered in New York City for the "Time for Renewal -- Restoring Your Passion for Christ" pastors' conference (June 12-14, 2002).

The hunger and desire to seek God could be seen from the beginning of the conference. One woman covered her mouth and wept as she approached the registration table. Volunteers thought she may have had trouble getting registered. However, the woman's daughter told them, her mother simply was overwhelmed. She explained that the conference is an answer to prayer.

Each session of the three-day conference opened with a time of praise and worship. Voices and hands were raised, as hundreds of men and women gave honor and thanks to God.

Times Square Church's Founding Pastor David Wilkerson, Senior Pastor, Carter Conlon and his wife Teresa Conlon, shared provoking messages during the conference. The sermons were convicting, challenging and encouraging. The messages were from God's heart and many pastors realized that indeed there is a famine in the land, and in fact there is a famine in many pulpits.

There is no doubt that people left the conference renewed and restored. It could be seen on the faces on everyone in attendance. The potential impact of the conference is immeasurable.

There is no doubt that other lives and hearts have been healed. Not by man, but by the power of God. Let's continue to pray that God will draw HIS people into HIS presence, and empower pastors all over the world to preach messages from HIS heart.
