John Chapter 1: Pt. 10
God will rise up evangelists that have embraced the truth of God's Word and will become a voice crying in the wilderness places of life. There will be an echo of truth from an already spoken word. They will be responsible for speaking the truth of the gospel message without any human mixture. They will be one with the very heart of God that will bring rivers of living water to dry and desolate places.
A Tale of Two Sinners
There is a Judas church that has a spirit of murmuring and complaining. This type of sinner has a compromised compassion, allows Jesus to wash their feet and not their heart and has an unworthy worship to God. It’s a heart that becomes penitent and the end result is sin and death. There is a Peter church and these sinners stumble and fall but they get back up in true repentance having a godly sorrow for their sin. These sinners cry out to God in their fear and doubt and get the victory because they walk close to the Cross of Jesus Christ with a broken spirit and a contrite heart.
Walk on Water Christianity
God promises His church that He will strengthen us with limitless power unto all patience. When we are impatient in trials it is evidence that we have unsurrendered areas in our heart. We must stay in our place persevering so patience can have its perfect work that we may become mature, wanting nothing. If we are to be a patient person our faith must be tried.
His Eye Is On the Sparrow
The focus of God's eye is not on the calamities and wars around us. Jesus shows us how the Father cares for us in hard times by the analogy of the sparrow. The Lord is calling His church to rise up and take courage and trust God. He will begin to fill us with His grace and peace. God in these last days wants to give us an understanding of His love to keep us standing strong and secure.
Forfeiting the Burying Place of Kings
What is the difference between a person who will be missed and a person who will be mourned?
Praying with Gratitude
God says do not be anxious or full of anxiety for nothing not even one thing. Do not let your heart be troubled and stay troubled. Turning anxiety into prayer and allowing that prayer to put gratitude in our hearts can be very powerful. The result of this kind of praying is peace. This peace is a ruling peace that brings order to our minds and reminds us that God is in control and that He loves us. The devil cannot follow us up the mountain of thanksgiving and praise.
Trusting God with All Your Tomorrows
God wants to change our thinking and impact our lives for the future. When we go through seasons of suffering, it is God’s desire to bring us to a place of total dependency on His promises. As we surrender our life into His hands and say Lord I trust you to be faithful to me and set ourselves to respond in defense of the gospel, then the very afflictions will become a message of Christ’s faithfulness. When you go through sufferings is your reaction preaching who Christ really is?
The Body of Christ: Communion
On the night before Jesus was crucified, He took bread and broke it in a spirit of thanksgiving. God calls us into communion with Him through the brokeness of our lives so we may offer Him the sacrafice of praise and thanksgiving. When we begin to commune with God, He will bless us and break us so we can be descerning of His body and live in peace and harmony with one another.
The Open, Uncondemned and Compelling Witness of Truth
When we settle it in our heart and say to God I don't want Sunday Religion, God will point His finger in areas that need to be surrendered to the truth of His word. As we receive truth we will be given living water to satisfy our inner longings. The Lord will place in us a compelling testimony so that we would lead the lost out of their situations and into the love of Christ.
Overcoming Loneliness In Old Age Pt. 2
When we have outlived our youthfulness we begin to ask ourselves if we outlived our usefulness. When we lose our independence there is loneliness and discouragement that sets into the heart as we begin to grow old. God does not forget us when we are old. He promises never to leave us or forsake us even in our old age.
