Our Incredible Inheritance In Christ
God has given us an inheritance beyond what our natural mind can comprehend. We are an heir of God almighty and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. This message reminds us not to settle for the temporal but rather to give ourselves to Jesus and inherit that which is eternal. We have the riches of heaven available to us here on earth but it doesn't end here, we have eternal riches forever. Don't settle for the temporal lies of the devil, embrace Jesus and live the abundant life.
Behold the Lamb of God
At the Cross the power of sin was broken and destroyed. Because of the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ the power of lying, jealousy, pornography, homosexuality and any other sin you can name was rendered powerless. If you are a slave to sin you don’t have to be anymore. In your own strength you cannot deliver yourself but when you give your struggle to Jesus and trust in Him the powers of darkness will be broken over your life. Today freedom is yours for the asking. Come and behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
Let Not Your Hearts Be Troubled
In this life we will not understand everything that we go through. Don’t let your lack of understanding take away your confidence in God. When we don’t understand it should be enough for us to know that our Lord understands and He is in total control. Put your faith in God and don’t let anything shake you. Trust that God knows what He is doing.
It’s An Imperative
No one knows what 2011 will brings us. All of us will go through situations we haven't thought about; some for tragedy and some for miracles. The truth of the matter is the people who go through trouble will end up in a better position than the people who are seemingly blessed because when hard times come it gives us an awareness of our need for God. In the parable of the ten virgins half of them thought they were ready for Jesus and they weren't. If Jesus Christ came today would you be ready?
As He Is, So Are We, In This World
If you are a Christian you are called to let the light of Jesus shine through you into the darkness of this world. The Bible says as He is so we are in this world. We are called to represent Jesus to those around us. How do we do this?
God’s Purpose for Your Body
God created us in His image with an eternal purpose. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and we must be pure and holy in every area of our life. The Bible gives a stern warning about immoral living and sex outside of the bounds of marriage. Satan wants to destroy your body and he offers you momentary pleasures but it has eternal consequences. God also has an eternal plan for your body and soul. God has given us the Holy Spirit to empower us against all sin so we can live pure and holy lives. If you are in an immoral relationship God wants to break the ties and set you free.
The Power of Praise
As Christians we must understand the power of praise and how it affects our lives. We all have problems but we also have a God in heaven who wants to solve them. Satan is always reducing God and increasing our problems. But when we are in the atmosphere of praise we begin to see everything in the right perspective. God gets bigger, our problems get smaller and Satan has to flee. We can choose to praise God and thank Him for His mercy and faithfulness. Praise Him because we know He is the answer to all our problems.
The Jesus of John's Gospel
The heart of the Gospel of John is wrapped up in the fact that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to save sinners. Jesus is introduced as the passionate Lamb of God and later on in the gospel we see Him as the Sacrificial Lamb of God who loves us and died for us. The question is not “does God love us?” but rather, “do we love God”? Do you love Him more than anything else? More than your sin? More than any relationship? More than anything? It is time to get right with God and put Him first!
A Psalm Was Born
It doesn’t matter what situation we may find ourselves in, the answer will always be to call on the name of the Lord! When everything goes against you cry out to God. God will save you out of all your fears. We call out to God because He answers the cry of His people! In the darkest night and in the worst of your situation God will put a song in your soul.
God's Incredible Provision
As a Christian we will always battle three forces — the desires of the flesh, the seduction of the world, and Satan himself. In Psalm 91, God promises to be a refuge and a fortress for us. The key is to dwell in His presence. We dwell in His presence when we allow God to speak to us and love on us. There is nothing the Devil can throw at us that God cannot bring us out victoriously! Have you made God your dwelling place?
