Faith for Families
There is a lie that the enemy tries to tell every believer who is praying for their family's salvation. The lie is simply there is no deliverance and the situation is hopeless therefore you might as well stop praying. The enemy will snare you into believing that he has the ability to block the Glory of God in a particular situation. But Exodus chapter 14 reminds us that the promises of God will continue to be fulfilled no matter what is happening in our lives and the lives of our family. When the storm is raging all night long don't look to the circumstance, look to God!
The Eye of the Needle
In every single one of us there is a propensity to draw near to Jesus with all of our heart and to pull away at the same time. If it was not for the power of the Holy Spirit it would be impossible to serve God. It is better to take the promises of God and bring them back to Him in prayer than to make vows that we know we could never keep in our own strength. The key is to totally understand that it is not what we can do for Jesus but what He did and continues to do for us. With man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible!
The Greatest Thing That Never Was
In a time of difficulty when the enemy is trying to destroy us we can choose to wait on the Lord and trust Him or we can take matters in our own hands and go ahead of Him. It is in these difficult times that we are given the opportunity to trust in God's faithfulness. God will show up in our situation and He will take care of things in His way and in His timing. God is calling us to sit in His presence and give Him the benefit of the doubt. If we put our trust in God and we are resting in His Sabbath, He will always confirm that we are in the right place.
Baptism of Fire
Jesus Christ allowed Himself to be engulfed and consumed in the fires of this life and suffered for the sake of saving souls. He allowed Himself to be baptized with a godly zeal because He was determined to help mankind. Are we willing to meet Jesus in the fire and allow the same zeal for His house to consume us for the sake of the lost? God is concerned with drawing men and women out of the fire and He invites us to join Him.
What If I Fail in the Time of Trial?
What happens if a significant trial comes our way and it doesn't work out the way we thought it would? God will allow us to go through certain trials, and in those trials there will be an element of failure. There is a time of sifting that will come to every zealous Christian. We will go through seasons of failure so we can recognize that we cannot serve God in our own strength. It's important to remember that in the midst of our failure God looks upon us with a love that can never fail us. So what happens if we fail in the time of trial?
Mercy Begins in the House of God
If we as Christian people are going to pray for mercy in our generation we must first be recipients of God's mercy. The more convinced we are of God's mercy the more we can pray with conviction. God's covenant mercy manifests itself in the salvation of our souls. When we embrace this wonderful salvation we can begin to pray, "God show the world your saving power, your covenant of mercy and your powerful protection." When God chooses to be merciful to a generation the devil is powerless and people are saved!
You Shall Know the Truth
Why is it important to know truth? What is truth? We know truth is a not something, it is someone. Jesus is truth. Knowing the truth gives us victory over the fiery darts of deception. The war against the devil is fought by the Holy Spirit within us. The Holy Spirit causes us to be intimately involved with the one who is truth. As we interact with the Holy Spirit He fights in us and through us. We cannot fight in our own strength. The Battle is the Lord's!
The Good Samaritan
When God speaks a word in our heart and causes us to understand that He has washed us and cleansed us we can proclaim His goodness. There is a confident trust because we understand that we have been washed by the Blood of the Lamb because of the goodness of God. We are called to glorify God by entering into His presence and rejoice in Him. There is a wonderful manifestation of God's glory in our life when we lay hold of His goodness.
