Overcoming the Spirit of Control by Neil Rhodes

Faith For Difficult Times

If faith is going to emerge in difficult days we will be invited by Jesus to follow Him into the supernatural. We might not always like these places but if we trust the leading of the Holy Spirit we will be led into situations that will increase our faith. We might not understand all that is going on but we can trust that God knows our future and He has everything under control. In these times we must stand in the presence of God until He gives us what we need for every situation.

Dealing with Chapter Eleven Bankruptcy

If there is an area in your life that is uncultivated by the Word of God, undealt with sin will manifest. Rebellion kills the harvest God wants to bring through our lives. There will be seasons when God allows the sin to manifest so we can begin to deal with it. Repentance is the great weed killer. Don't let sin choke the life of Christ in you. God desires us to have fruitfulness in our walk. If we obey the promptings of the Holy Spirit and begin to sow in the spirit we will reap a harvest that brings Glory to God.

A Journey to Joy

God never forces us to do anything. He gently leads us and gives us the choice to say yes or no to His will. We are all on a journey and often times this journey is not without difficult days and wilderness experiences. There is another traveler on this journey with us, it is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has the goods of God and supplies what we need to get us through the winding roads. The Holy Spirit will lift our hearts and cause us to focus on Christ, His love and His faithfulness. Staying on course with God and making right choices are where true joy is found.

Don't Fight Satan Alone

The devil is the father of lies and he stands against us telling us we are no good and we are not going to make it. He is a real enemy and we cannot fight him in our own strength. We need the power of God to help us. When we have an honest heart Jesus will step into the midst of our warfare and rebuke the devil with one word and in a moment of time all that defiles us will be removed. Our Jesus is a mighty warrior!

An Amazing Lineage From An Incredible Mess

We cannot serve God and the world. When we live in mixture and pursue prosperity we will experience sorrow after sorrow. Walking away from God is like walking away from righteous authority, truth and integrity. God in His faithfulness will always have His way and when we return to Him with all our heart He will pick us back up and remind us of the plan He has for our lives.

Overcoming the Last Day Spirit of Lawlessness - Part 2

Where there is no progressive revelation of Christ people become reckless. There is a systematic working of lawlessness that attempts to take God out of the culture. It is the Holy Spirit that restrains us. When people refuse to come to the true knowledge of Jesus Christ we end up casting off all kinds of restaint; hence lawlssness begins to pervade in our society.

Overcoming Parenting Through Fear

The only way to keep our children from this evil generation is to hide them in God through earnest prayer. Faith and prayer is the antidote to fear. We don’t own are children; they belong to God. As we by faith place them in His hands He will provide, protect and empower them.

Overcoming the Spirit of Control

Behind every person that operates in manipulation is a spirit of control. When we allow the spirit of control to operate in our life we will always seek preeminence. There is a doctrine that is permeating the church that is man-centered and allows man to have preeminence that keeps them locked out of the freedom and flow of the Holy Spirit. We are not called to love the lime light we are called to love the true Light, Jesus Christ.
