Raised From the Dead
COVER LETTER
Dearly Beloved:
GOD’S LOVE PREPARES HIS SERVANTS FOR UPHEAVAL AND CHANGE.
This is the message at the heart of Psalm 46. The Psalmist begins by telling us what God is to his people: a refuge, a strength, a present help in trouble.
It's Time to Get Right with God
Today is a day of mercy and grace. God is gently calling out to those who are backslidden, those who have grown cold and those who need to make things right with God. The first call of Jesus is of love and forgiveness. The second call is, "You make a move"! The Bible says, "today if you hear His voice harden not your heart." Jesus is coming soon, so get up and shake yourself form the dirt and when you rise up the shackles of captivity and sin will fall off!
Hope — The Expectation of Something Good
We hear a lot about hope — from politicians, from numerous books, from tapes and other media. But what is offered in each of these messages doesn’t seem to last.
We may get fired up and encouraged by what we hear in such messages. Indeed, we may find ourselves refreshed and hopeful for a season. But what is offered isn’t a fixed, experienced hope, and soon it fades away.
The whole world yearns for a steadfast hope. The inner cry of multitudes around the globe right now is, “Somebody, somewhere, please, give me some hope, something that will last.”

THE LORD’S COMPASSION NEVER FAILS!
What is the Lord’s word of hope in these troubled times? It is this: The Lord’s compassion for his people never fails. Whatever you are going through, no matter what lies ahead, the Lord is full of compassion for you. Never doubt that.
“But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth” (Psalm 86:15).
Compassion here means “to hold, to love, to show mercy.”
Loving the Lost
There is much talk right now about the fearful situation our world is in. Nation after nation is troubled, on the brink of economic disaster. Yet amid all the fear and turmoil gripping the world, God is still loving and saving lost souls.
His marvelous work of salvation never changes. It isn’t affected by the economy. His wooing, convicting Holy Spirit isn’t hindered by conditions on Wall Street or by teetering global finances. God’s saving power has never been limited by shrinking bank accounts.

Dearly Beloved:
“IN GOD HAVE I PUT MY TRUST — I WILL NOT FEAR!”
When David was taken captive in Gath by the Philistines, he testified, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust: I will not fear what flesh [man] can do unto me…. Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?” (Psalm 56:3–4, 12–13).
Raised from the Dead
Jesus is reaching out to those who are spiritually dead and offers them supernatural life through the power of the Holy Spirit. There is an emptiness that God has planted in the heart of man that eventually makes us miserable. God will move heaven and earth to save one soul. This life is made available through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ the Son of God! This is all about getting a new life, not about religion. God's mercy reaches out to all those who are dead in their sin.
The Path to Hope
The whole world is crying out for hope! The Holy Spirit wants to make hope more than just a theological phrase. The path of hope begins by being fully assured that we are right with God. We have an unshakable faith because our sin is covered. This path continues through tribulations, afflictions, and a deep work of patience which brings about experience. Hope is about living and bringing the life of Christ to others. It's something the Holy Spirit does in our heart.
Reaching the Lost in Uncertain Times
In these last days there is such a deep darkness permeating our society. What will it take to penetrate this darkness? How will the lost see Jesus Christ?
The Victory of the Cross of Christ
It was the night before the crucifixion of Christ. Jesus had gathered his disciples in an upper room to prepare them for his departure from the earth. After they shared a meal together, the Lord took a towel and proceeded to wash the men’s feet.
That evening, Jesus told these devoted followers he was going to be “lifted up” (meaning crucified) by the hands of wicked men. When he told them this, he was forewarning them about what was to come.
