This another update on April 5th from the directors of Teen Challenge Japan on the aftermath of the earthquake which hit Japan on March 11th 2011:
Thank you for your prayers and financial help. We have received donations from California, Bristol (U.K.) and Phuket (Thailand). The initial shock & panic seems to have subsided after 3 weeks, but there are several aftershocks everyday in Sendai and the danger of radiation leak is still very present in Fukushima, so we need your prayers.

This is the fifth update from the directors of Teen Challenge Japan on the aftermath of the earthquake which hit Japan on March 11th 2011:
The Spirit of the Lord guided us all the way to Sendai and back last weekend. Thank you so much for your prayers.
We arrived at Sendai City earlier than expected on Saturday, put some petrol in the van on the way, and were able to meet with everyone we wanted to and distributed food, clothing, petrol and kerosene. We made our base at Izumi Gospel Church which is pastored by Pastor Hiroshi Itoh.
Fourth Update from Japan

This is the fourth update from the directors of Teen Challenge Japan on the aftermath of the earthquake which hit Japan on March 11th 2011:
The Holy Spirit guided us to go and help the people in Sendai, the tsunami-hit area. God allowed us to gather goods which were getting impossible to buy even in Tokyo. The people used their initiative, money, time and energy, and we are now ready to bring the immediate relief goods.

This is the third update from the directors of Teen Challenge Japan on the aftermath of the earthquake which hit Japan on March 11th 2011:
In Hachioji, all the food is gone from the supermarkets and petrol stations are closed. Scheduled power cuts started yesterday, and the radiation level in the air today was 20-40 times the normal. That is in Tokyo which was NOT hit by tsunami; we can't imagine how bad the situation is where the tsunami struck.

This is a second update from the directors of Teen Challenge Japan on the aftermath of the earthquake which hit Japan on March 11th 2011:
Thank you for your continual prayers for our country. It's almost midnight and I'm finding it hard to put in words what is happening, but I must do so now because there will be a systematic power cut in Tokyo from tomorrow morning.
1,600 people have been found dead and over 20,000 people are still missing, and the number is bound to increase.

First of all, Teen Challenge Centre in Okinawa was protected and all the staff and students are fine. TC Headquarters in Tokyo as well as our church in Hachioji are also O.K.

Our policy is that all gifts designated for a specific project be applied to that project. Occasionally we receive more funds than can be wisely used for the designated project. When that happens, we use those funds to meet other similar pressing needs in the same country to advance the gospel.
