COVER LETTER

Dearly Beloved:

GOD IS GOOD! GOD IS MERCIFUL!

I trust you will take the time to prayerfully read the enclosed message. I preached The Gospel for Outcasts recently at Times Square Church. I am sending you this copy to use as an evangelistic tool.

There are so many people living in despair and hopelessness who doubt God’s love for them. Perhaps they have fallen into a satanic trap of sin. Others have once tasted of God’s mercy and forgiveness, but now they feel the Lord has forsaken them.

Do you know someone in your family who’s enslaved by an evil habit or despairing over trouble in their home or personal life? This is a message of hope and mercy you can make available to them. When someone is down and out and can’t seem to find even a ray of hope, their need is for a sweet word of God’s love and tender mercy.

So many parents grieve over a child or children who are caught up in drugs or alcohol and are in with the wrong crowd. No matter what the rebellious say, no matter how bound they are by sin, no matter their laughter and passivity to spiritual things — deep inside they hurt deeply. In such a condition they need to hear that God is pursuing them with love and forgiveness, not with wrath or condemnation.

Would you pray about passing this message on to others? If you do not know someone who needs it personally, perhaps you could pick a name out of your phone book. Send it anonymously and enclose this note: “God cares about you.” You may think of other ways to reach someone with this particular message.

I want to thank the Lord for his faithfulness to our World Challenge ministry. With the generous support of readers like you, over the past 45 years God has allowed us to do the following: Establish Teen Challenge inpatient centers for drug addicts and alcoholics; there are now over 625 of these centers worldwide. Found Times Square Church on Broadway, New York City, with over 100 nationalities worshipping in the center of the theater district. Establish a ministry to fatherless children worldwide, as well as to widows and needy single mothers. Build a Spirit-filled Bible school and a center for addicted mothers and their children. Support orphanages in various countries around the world. Build churches in the poorest nations and sponsor feeding programs reaching thousands of children year after year. And so much more.

All glory to our Lord. It has been going on now for over 45 years — all by faith alone. Thanks to all whom God uses to make it possible.

In Christ,
DAVID WILKERSON
