![]() Caring Hands to Receive Uganda's President's Export Award09/15/2008 — Christopher R. Wigginton |

An update we received from Milla Happonen of Caring Hands in Uganda:
We received a surprise phone call and visit from Uganda's Export Promotion Board. They informed us that Caring Hands will receive the President's Export Award. It will be presented at a ceremony on October the 3rd by the person whose name is on the award - the president of Uganda himself, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The recognition is awarded because of the "value added" that we give to exports — working with the poor, HIV and AIDS, orphans, gender, people with disabilities, employment, recycling, using available resources, starting the organization without capital, etc.
