David Wilkerson 9.15.02 Listen

Anguish is extreme pain, distress, or sorrow. Whatever happened to anguish in the house of God? You don’t hear about it in this pampered age. More of the world is coming into, and taking over, the church than the church is impacting the world. So many times we say to God, "This time you’ve touched me for life. I’ll never be the same." It’s just all fireworks, a loud band and a lot of noise, and then it dies. All true passion is born out of anguish.

Judgment is not the only message of Jesus Christ to the lost in the last days. We are to be messengers of hope to a fearful society. We must take a position of faith in Jesus Christ, fully determined to lay all our burdens at His feet and leave them there. The message of the Church of Jesus Christ in times of calamities such as these is a people that will choose to take a position in faith and offer hope to the hopeless.

"And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? Give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward." (Luke 16:1-2 NAS).

When Jesus walked on the earth, He was all God - and all man! The man the disciples saw ascending into the clouds was the same Jesus they had walked with, eaten with, learned from - the same man who had washed their feet. And He ascended in the same body that had laid hands on the sick and held young children.

Embracing the Will of God 11.30.92

Every true follower of Jesus Christ says he wants to do the will of God. Yet most Christians think of Gods will as something that is imposed on them - something distasteful and difficult, which they are forced to do.

I believe the perfect will of God is a matter of great importance to all who say they love the Lord. And there is a vast difference between submitting to Gods will and embracing His will.
